THE grand finale of Miss Ghana 2018 comes off on September 29 at a yet to be decided venue.
This was revealed by Inna Maryam Patty, CEO of Exclusive Events Ghana, organisers of the event in an interview with Showbiz last Tuesday.
According to Inna, 48 contestants were selected at the audition held at the Tang Palace Hotel in Accra on August 25.
“ They went through the processes and the number was narrowed down to 10. Those outside Accra and outside Ghana sent videos for the auditions,” she said.
The 10 finalists are currently being groomed to prepare them for the grand finale which comes off on September 29.
Nana Ama Benson(Central Region)
Nana Ama Benson, 23, comes from the Central Region and her mission in life is to motivate people to reach their very best.
According to the young lady who loves to dance and listen to music,”I want to be a part of the Miss Ghana brand because it’s an authentic brand which shapes young ladies into women of substance in the society”.
Nana Yaa Owusu Achempem(Eastern Region)
She was born on July 4, 1996 and her name is Nana Yaa Owusu Achempem. She loves reading, listening to music and cooking.
The native of the Eastern Region has great interest in helping the less privileged to climb up the social ladder through education.
“This is why I am contesting in Miss Ghana 2018. I see it as one of the best and biggest platforms to make my dreams of helping others become a reality”.
Anita Nana Yaa Addai(Ashanti Region)
Her name is Anita Nana Yaa Addai and she loves reading and acting.
This 26-year-old Ashanti young lady treasures every opportunity to speak in public “because I believe it always presents a stage to engage an audience and communicate effectively.
“I want to be a part of the Miss Ghana 2018 because it is a platform that grooms young women into becoming better versions of themselves”.
Laila Issaka(Northern Region)
Laila Issaka,24, comes from Saka Saka in the Northern Region of Ghana.
She is participating in Miss Ghana 2018 because she believes it will give her the opportunity to pursue her dream on empowering women and children and to impact the lives of people positively.
Laila is a former student of Koforidua Technical University where she studied Accounting.
Veronica Sarfo Adu Nti(Upper West Region)
Her ambition in life is to become great woman of sunstance and impact lives positively thus taking part in Miss Ghana 2018 will help Veronica Sarfo Adu Nti achieve that.
The 25 year-old make up artiste says “do not let anyone tell you what you can or cannot be because with prayer, determination and passion you will achieve your goals. This is a personal motivation that keeps my drive alive.”
Peggy Ohene Agyekum Boateng(Brong Ahafo Region)
Peggy Ohene Agyekum Boateng representing the Brong Ahafo Region is 24 years old.
She is an Environmental Geoscientist National Service Person at the Environmental Protection Agency.
For her, “Miss Ghana, has produced a clan of beautiful, hardworking and socially respected women who have impacted lives in the areas of health, streetism, environment, and charity.
“I joined this year’s train because I want to be part of such a beautiful legacy. And with the help of God and support of Ghanaians, I will be crowned Miss Ghana 2018.”
Elizabeth Mary Maclean(Western Region)
Elizabeth Mary Maclean,22, is a graduate of Accra Polytechnic where she read Hotel Catering and Institutional Management.
Her mission is to gain the needed exposure to be able to help the less privileged and also educate people on drug abuse.
“So participating in Miss Ghana 2018 can groom me well enough to be able to achieve my purpose of helping the less privileged.”
Vera Seyram Selase(Volta Region)
Vera Seyram Selase is 20 years old. Her hobbies are watching movies and listening to music.
“I want to serve individuals and families in the poorest communities in Ghana and I know contesting in Miss Ghana 2018 will give me the avenue to pursue my philanthropic work.”
Juliet Afinaomi Mokpokpo Gonuh(Upper East Region)
Oheneyere Gifty Anti is the role model of Juliet Afinaomi Mokpokpo Gonuh, 23, and a graduate of the University for Development Studies (UDS) with a (BSc) in Applied Biology.
“My personal mission in life is to constantly challenge and improve myself. I am a young, enthusiastic, and God fearing lady with reading books, watching wedding videos as my hobbies.”
Rhoda Aku Mingle(Greater Accra Region)
Rhoda Aku Mingle, 27, who aspires to be a broadcast journalist enjoys reading, singing and dancing.
The student of Ghana Institute of Journalism who comes from Osu believes perseverance, determination and hardwork are necessary recipes for success.
“My reason to become Miss Ghana 2018 is to maximize the opportunity and use the platform to impact lives positively and to make a difference in society.”
