2020 Election Petition: John To Address Ghanaians At 5 PM Today

In the wake of the Supreme Court dismissing his election petition through a unanimous decision, the 2020 Presidential Candidate of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama is set to address Ghanaians at 5 pm today at his office in Accra.

This information was made known by the National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, after the Supreme Court’s final sitting for the election petition hearing was brought to a successful close.

The Supreme Court on Thursday, 4 2021 ruled in favour of the Electoral Commission, the New Patriotic Party and President Akufo-Addo citing that the apex court finds no reason to order a re-run of the 2020 elections.

Reading the final judgement, Chief Justice Anin Yeboah intimated that John Mahama did not satisfy all the 5 issues outlined by the court to determine the case.

Justice Anin Yeboah explained that the petition is being dismissed because it also holds no merit.
