Ghanaians and other Africans have paid their last respect to the former Ghanaian president, Jerry John Rawlings as the memorial vigil is ongoing.
Former President Rawlings, unfortunately, died last year November at the Korle Bu after a short illness.
The funeral rites for his burial has commenced and his body has been laid in state at the Accra Conference Centre for dignitaries to pay their last respect to the former President.
At the memorial, Adina Thembi gave an outstanding performance which sent many into a state of nostalgia as she sings “Everything I Do” by Bryan Adams.
On the night of 24th January 2021, Adina gave sympathizers and families at the vigil a moment to reflect, a time to look back, and a reason to allow their tears flow uncontrollably down their cheeks.
In the video sighted, the singer was seen rocking in a shiny black gown to reflect the reason for their gathering. Adina could not hold back her tears and emotions as she intermittently wiped off tears from her eyes and sweats from her brow.
