Media mogul and former artiste manager Kofi Okyere Darko popularly known as KOD has faulted Afriyie for being the reason the celebrated Highife music is no more.
According to him, Afriyie the half of the defunct music group always has issues with his member.
Sitting down on the Daybreak Hitz show on Hitz FM, Thursday, the famed broadcaster who managed Wutah said Afriyie Wutah’s attitude towards the group’s work brought the group down.
“Big dreams was the biggest song then and it was our song for the very first world cup… Wutah stressed me than any act I’ve worked with. Wutah has always had issues. I always told them to look at the bigger picture. We don’t have to be friends to make money.” he said
KOD added “Afriyie didn’t show up for some interviews even though you can’t dispute how talented he is. He is one of the best but his attitude brought the team down,” he said.
The celebrated radio and television personality commended Guru for reuniting the group on his NKZ Records after they went their separate ways for 7 years.
He added, that he thinks he is vindicated now after the Wutah split again because Ghanaians and some industry persons faulted him when the group breakup years now
According to the host of Starr Drive on Starr FM, many were of the view that he couldn’t do enough to resolve Wutah’s difference when they first broke up but since they have gone their separate ways again he thinks he’s exonerated.
