Archipalago sends a stern warning to organizers of VGMA(Video)

US-based social media commentator, Archipalago has issued out a stern warning to the organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA).

The much-anticipated event will come off this Saturday 18th May 2019 at the Accra International Conference Center and there have been several debates as to who will win what on the set date of the event.

Archipalago reacting to the upcoming VGMA warned Charter House, the organisers of the VGMA to reward deserving artists.

According to him, Artiste of the Decade should be given to an artist with the most international recognition, international awards like BET and features with other artists globally.

He indicated that such an award should be given to the artist that represent Ghana in a positive way.

He called on VGMA to be transparent and award deserving artists in this year’s edition of the award scheme.

Archipalago cautioned the organizers of the VGMAs that he will launch several attacks on them if they don’t award deserving artists.

However, as the 2019 VGMA draws near the most talked about category is the highly competitive ‘Artiste of the Decade’.

The category include Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, Okyeame Kwame, Efya, R2bees, Joe Mettle, Becca, No Tribe and Nacee.

The category is defined as artists who have had the biggest impact, earned multiple nominations across the years in the VGMAs, been relevant on the Ghanaian music scene and beyond; been very influential in music and showbiz and their craftsmanship in the industry has been phenomenal for the past 10 years in the music scene.
