Organisers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charter House Ghana, has been advised to punish the two instigators of last Saturday commotion at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
There was confusion at the VGMA which forced Stonebwoy to pull a gun and brought proceedings at the event to a halt for close to an hour.
The melee happened after Shatta Wale decided to walk onto the stage to allegedly congratulate his arch-rival after he (Stonebwoy) was announced as the winner of the Reggae/Dancehall category.
Media practitioner and social media commentator First Lady, has asked the academy and board of the award scheme to consider a ban on the two dancehall artistes.
Speaking in a video sighted on Browngh TV on YouTube, she condemned the unfortunate incident and admonished Ghanaians to desist from violence.
She also added that the fan base of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are to be blamed for all the fracas. She explained that mayhap Shatta Wale had no bad intentions when he was approaching the stage but his diehard fans acted otherwise.
She mentioned that if any of the fans from both sides got seriously injured during the clash, there was no way the former Zylofon Media signed artistes would have come to their aid.
First Lady, however, made a suggestion to the organisers of Ghana’s music biggest night to hand a five year ban to Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy for their actions.
According to her, the punishment would serve as a lesson for other musicians in the country who have been causing problems in the music industry all in the name of showbiz.
