Bawumia Should Go Back To Hajji And Pray For Forgiveness – Mzbel

Ghanaian songstress and staunch NDC supporter, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has mocked the Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, following his town hall meeting.

Dr. Bawumia, whose reputation as an economical guru has been questioned by many Ghanaians due to the drastic depreciating of the cedi held a press briefing on Wednesday to explain why things are not going as excepted.

He stated that the depreciating cedi does not show that the fundamentals of the economy is weak as he himself told us during the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration.

The chairman of the Economics Management Team (EMT) speaking at the maiden edition of the town hall meeting indicated that, its warped logic to jump from that to a conclusion that if there is depreciation in your currency then the fundamentals must be weak. He added that If the fundamentals are weak the exchange rate will expose you but if the exchange rate moves you cannot jump to that conclusion that the fundamentals are weak, that defies logic.

Bawuma noted that there could be other external factors causing the exchange rate depreciation.

This speech, however, did not go down well with many Ghanaians who angrily took on to social media to ‘attack’ the vice-President.

They referred to Dr. Bawumia as a liar and has nothing good to tell the good people of Ghana.

Mzbel, among the many Ghanaians who got pissed by the speech in a post on Facebook took a swipe at Bawumia saying he needs to ask God for forgiveness for lying to Ghanaians.
