The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has surprised his former primary school teacher with a brand new tractor to help him in his farming activities.

The teacher identified as Jacob Duuti who is 75-years-old hails from Nyankpanduri in the North East Region of Ghana.

The presentation was made on Sunday, 17 May 2020 by some emissaries of the Vice President which was led by the Regional Minister, Hon. Solomon Boar.

Jacob Duuti who taught the Vice President at the SakaSaka Primary school in Tamale had a massive impact on the life of the Vice President.

“Mr. Duuti taught Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia at the Sakasaka Primary School in Tamale, and the astute politician has not forgotten the positive impact of his primary school teacher in his life,”  said the statement read by the delegation who said that Dr. Bawumia has not forgotten about Mr. Duuti’s mentorship.

Mr. Duuti expressed his appreciation and also described the Vice President as a very brilliant and inquisitive student who always asks questions in class.

“Bawumia was brilliant and inquisitive. He was always asking questions and I am not surprised about how high he has risen in life. I am so proud as his teacher,” he said.
