Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), the president of Nigerian will address Nigerians on the unrest and security situation in the country by 7 pm.
Femi Adesina, the Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, revealed this information with a statement titled, ‘President Buhari addresses the nation.’

Following detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country, President @MBuhari will make a national broadcast Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 7pm.

“Following a detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 7 pm.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast,” the statement read.
This comes two days after EndSARS protesters were gunned down at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos, which was followed by widespread arson and violence, amongst others.
