Ghanaian rapper, Cabum has lashed out at Accra-based radio station, Hitz 103.9FM, over their award scheme.
The annual Something Wicked Awards organized by Hitz 103.9 FM, came off on Friday, January 10, 2020.
The 2019 edition of the comic awards dominated the Twitter trends, at the number one spot throughout the ceremony which was live on Hitz FM’s Hitz Gallery with Dr Pounds and Sergio Manucho.
At the end, rapper Cabum grabbed the most talked-about award dubbed ‘Underground Artiste of the Decade’. Menzgold C.E.O, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM 1, was given the ‘Asourhyeɛ’ award for emerging as the personality who faced the toughest moments in 2019 while footballer Asamoah Gyan grabbed that of the decade
Rapper Sarkodie beat 2019 Ghana DJ Awards ‘DJ of the Year’, DJ Switch, to win the Something Wicked Awards’ ‘Personality of the Year’.
However, Cabum feels disrespected the Multimedia Group Limited owned radio station honoured him with the Underground Artiste of the Decade despite his presence in the music scene for many years now.
In a series of tweets, he poured out his anger at Hitz FM and warned them never to include him in their awards scheme.
“Who ever wrote that BullShit on Twitter saying Chedeshi Man be underground, see!!!”
” Next time u do something like this u better not put me in any category… if u guys don’t want respect urselves be in your lane and Let me be in mine. U have no idea 💡 the hustle, hardwork and, ” said in a tweet.
He added” investment I’ve had to give to get to this point that u don’t respect. If u don’t want to give me credit don’t fuckn discredit me. Sloths!!”
