Two Ghanaian police officers have tested positive for the novel coronavirus after being exposed to infected patients while they were on official duties.

According to reports, the two police officers tested positive after showing symptoms of the deadly virus after a contact trace was conducted after a prisoner was sentenced and five persons who were also arrested for defying restrain orders by the Adenta police command tested positive for the virus.

Reports also say that the samples of the five persons taken for the test were confirmed of being infected with the virus although they never showed any symptoms.

The two police officers have currently been isolated and receiving treatment.
