Portuguese professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is set to become football’s highest-ever goal scorer after he became the joint top scorer for official goals in football history on Sunday night.
He achieved the enviable record after scoring Juventus’ third goal in the 3-1 victory over Sassuolo.
Cristiano Ronaldo currently has 759 career goals equalling Josef Bican, the Austrian-Czech striker who played between 1931 and 1955.
Ronaldo beat Pele’s record of 757 official goals.
Juventus’ poster boy needs just a goal to become the highest-scoring player ever.
