DKB to stage a protest against PDS if ‘dumsor’ doesn’t end within one week

Renowned comedian, Derrick Kobina Bonney, known professionally as DKB, has threatened to hit the streets and demonstrate against Power Distribution Services (PDS) if the power outages is not stopped.

According to DKB, he has given the PSD a one-week ultimatum to fix the recent erratic power supply nicknamed “Dumsor” else face his wrath.

In a video on Instagram sighted by BrownGh.Com, the King of Ghana Comedy said he cannot be fueling his generator every day due to dumsor.

“We thought ECG was horrible now the new one is Proper Dumsor or Permanent Dumsor, I don’t even know what their name is. Ghs50 fuel gone already to power generator, now I’m on my way to buy another one. Am I supposed to be using my money to buy fuel?” he asked.

“Honestly, if this darkness continues for one week nobody should blame me if I do the dumsor demonstration again. Because I don’t belong to any political party so if you mess up, me I go hammer you. I don’t owe anybody an apology,” DKB added

It would be recalled that, this is not the first time a celebrity has mounted pressure on the power supply company in Ghana.

In 2015, Yvonne Nelson spearheaded a peaceful demonstration the #DumsorMustStop campaign which saw great personality like Van Vicker, Prince David Osei, DKB, Wanlov Kubolor, Efya, DKB, Barima Sidney, Afia Schwarzenegger and D-Black on board.
