Dr Kwame Fodjour Lands In A Big Trouble As United Nations Release A Disclaimer Amid Fake UN Awards Brouhaha

United Nations in Ghana has finally reacted to Dr Kwame Fodjour’s fake UN Awards that is making all the buzz on the internet.

It could be recalled on August 28, 2020, that a host of Ghanaian personalities were honoured for their accomplishments in their various fields of endeavour.

Chairman Wontumi, Sarkodie, Daughter of Glorious Jesus, Berla Mundi, DJ DBlack among others were honoured.

Global Leadership Service to Humanity Awards is the name of the award scheme and though the UN has no hand in it, it was made to look like UN-owned event.

The awardees were presented with plaques of “UN Kofi Annan Excellence Awards” which drew a link between the scheme, the UN and the late Kofi Annan.

It appeared the supposed UN Award was a scam after social media users and a group of young journalists did thorough research on the credibility of the award.

The mastermind behind the ‘fake UN award’ is a man identified as Dr Kwame Fodjour aka Dr UN.

Dr Kwame Fodjour has stated on several platforms that his Award scheme is credibility and rubbished claims that his award scheme was fake.

United Nations in Ghana has finally addressed the issue pertaining to Dr Kwame Fodjour’s fake UN Awards.

According to the United Nations (UN), the organisation in Ghana or worldwide has no affiliation with the Blueprint Global Challenge Awards nor with the Organisation (Blueprint Mission) or its personnel in any way, shape or form.

The United Nations advised that all genuine UN notices follow strict rules and procedures and are announced or published on UN websites.

“The attention of the United Nations in Ghana has been drawn to news reports of an award purported to be associated with the United Nations and the Kofi Annan Foundation.

The United Nations in Ghana wishes to state categorically that the United Nations (neither in Ghana or anywhere else) has no affiliation with the Blueprint Global Challenge Awards, nor with the organization (Blueprint Mission) or its personnel in any way, shape or form.

The UN advises that all genuine UN notices follow strict rules and procedures and are announced/published on UN websites. We advise the general public to access genuine information by visiting the relevant UN agencies’ websites or the UN Ghana website (https://ghana.un.org/en).

The UN in Ghana remains committed to working with the Government of Ghana and its people to deliver on its mandate to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and support Ghana attain its development objectives.”
