Ghanaian gospel musicians don’t feature me because…. – OJ


Ghanaian gospel recording artist and songwriter, Micheal Oware aka OJ has given a weird reason why most of his colleagues do not want to work with him though he is lyrically good.

According to him in an exclusive interview with Pure FM monitored by, OJ said his colleagues are afraid he will outsmart them with his style of writing because most of his songs are full of life experiences.

OJ disclosed that the way he writes his songs seem not cool to his colleagues because he mostly does more about life and the experiences he has had.

He continued that any gospel musician who does not understand his style will not love to put him on his or her song.

OJ expressed that he hardly receives requests from his colleague musicians for collaborations.

He said, “I hardly receive requests for collaboration because if you bring the song, I will also write my own and when I do that there is the likelihood that mine will be better than theirs and that will create trouble”.

He added that “Some fear from afar but I think I have had few features with Nancee, Joe Mettle, and Emillia Arthur
