Talented Ghanaian Highlife musician, Akwaboah, has expressed his disappointment in his colleague Ghanaian musicians saying they like “flexing” when he reach out to them for collaborations.
Born Gladstorm Akwaboah Jnr in a post on social media registering his disgust for his fellow musicians in the country said, Ghana is sick in the head.
According to the songwriter and singer, when he reaches out to Ghanaian artistes to feature on a song they keep flexing but when he sends that same songs to top-notch foreign artistes he gets results in just two days.
Taking to Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook, he wrote, “Funny how u wana put your own brother Ghanaian on a song.. they keep flexing you.. send same song to a bigger non Ghanaian act.. and you have your verse in 2 days.. Ghana we’re sick in the head.”
Meanwhile, the Sarkcess Music signed artist is not the first musician who has come out to make such revelation and the stress one has to go through before featuring a Ghanaian artist.
Many musicians in the country especially, the budding artistes have said it is difficult to get some Ghanaian musicians to feature on a song.
