The Ghana Police Service have incurred the wrath of Ghanaians after they publicized a new project they commissioned.
The Ghana Police Service on Monday 19th August 2019, commissioned a newly built elevator at the headquarter s of the Criminal Investigations Department(CID).
According to the Ghana Police, the elevator facility will serve the 6-storey CID building which formerly had only stairs.
The Ghana Police Service excited by the commissioning of the new elevator facility shared a series of photos on their official twitter account.
In the photos, the acting Inspector General of Police, COP Oppong-Boanuh and CID boss Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah were seen commissioning the project.
Ghanaians after seeing the commissioning of the elevator facility by the IGP and CID boss noted that such a project was not worth the fuss.
Some social media users descended heavily on the CID and the IGP for channeling their energy in commissioning an elevator instead of channelling their energy to find the missing Takoradi girls and combat the increasing crime in the country.
Some section of Ghanaians branded the Ghana Police Service as a joke and trolled the security institution on Twitter.

This is a joke. What do you take us for. An elevator has been constructed and so what? You have time for trivialities but can't have time for serious business. This country is a mess. Commissioning toilets, lotto kiosk, gutters and now elevator. Shameless institution.
