Madam Elsie Avemegah, the mother of multiple award-winning reggae and dancehall recording artist, Shatta Wale, has revealed that the ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker was in her womb for thirteen months.
In relation to the celebration of Mother’s Day, Madam Avemegah, the biological mother of Charles Nii Armah Mensah, has granted an interview on mothering his son, who is popularly known, Shatta Wale.
Speaking on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review show, Madam Avemegah, revealed that she carried the singer for thirteen months when she was pregnant and upon her delivery, one professor told her that, her son will be a star.
However, the musician’s mother added that she doesn’t endorse how her son insult people on social media and sometimes she feels like beating him whenever he goes on that tangent.
“I am heartbroken anytime I hear Shatta Wale insult or fight another person. It gets to me so much that I sometimes feel like going to his house to beat the hell out of him,” she told Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review show.
According to Madam Avemegah, as a Christian, she cannot encourage her son to be verbally assaulting people every time. However, she also disclosed that she hasn’t seen her son for some time and all attempts to see him has failed.
“I don’t know what I did to Shatta Wale but he didn’t want to see my face no matter how hard I tried. Sometimes he would see me and pass as if I don’t even to matter to him,” she said.
