Ghanaian musician Gregory Bortey Newman who goes by the moniker King Promise says he’s faithful in paying his tithes.
Tithe is the one-tenth part of your income, usually paid as a contribution to a church as an expression of thanks and dedication for God’s protection and blessings.
According to King Promise, he does not joke when it comes to his tithes and that’s the secret behind the success he’s chalking in the music industry.
Sitting down with Lexis Bill on Behind The Fame Monday, he said, “I don’t joke with my tithe at all. I pay my tithe often, and because of my job where lots of Saturday evenings I have to be on stage performing, and so when I don’t go to church, I give it to my mum to pay on my behalf”.
The Legacy Life Entertainment recording artist was also full of praise for Sarkodie, he said the BET Award winner has contributed immensely to the growth of his music career.
King Promise mentioned that the Sarkcess Music boss linked him up with his current management and he’s really grateful.
“My rise has been a blessing, I met people at the right time when I started. For instance, Sarkodie introduced me to my management that I’m currently working with, and the very first song that had people listening to me was Vision DJ’s Double Trouble song featuring same Sarkodie, and so Sarkodie is a blessing to me”, he said
