Celebrated Producer, Mark Okraku Mantey has revealed that he does not pay tithe although he is very religious.
The Programs manager of Hitz FM made this revelation in an interview with Sammy Forson on Joy FM.
“I’m quite religious but I don’t do tithing”, he said
The renowned industry guru, made this statement when he was talking about his life and the things he has endured to get to this far.
This is not the first time Mark Okraku Mantey has made this revelation concerning tithe paying in Church.
The President of the Creative Arts Council in 2018 also revealed in an interview on Hitz Fm that he has never paid tithe before.
He mentioned that his decision was influenced by one Brother Dan Owusu Asiamah of the Church of Christ.
He indicated that Brother Dan disclosed that there are scriptures in the Bible that states that the payment of tithe was to a particular era and backed his submissions with Bible quotes.
Mark in the interview opined that some churches don’t use the monies paid as tithe for the work of God and that some pastors encourage it because of their selfish interests.
Tithe is the minimum fraction(one-third) of a Christian’s total income that must be given to God in support of His work.
It is the minimum percentage of a person’s income that God commands him or her to give with the perception that tithing comes with God’s blessings.
