Veteran Ghanaian actress, Christiana Awuni has expressed her dissatisfaction about Hon Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey’s comment that the parliament house is not a place for movie actors and other celebrities.
Recall that John Dumelo recently found himself wanting after the Minister for Foreign Affairs jabbed him during a campaign rally that the parliament house is a place for business-minded people and not ordinary people like movie actors or celebrities.
Although clarity has been made to that effect, her comment has since incensed a lot of creatives who see her statement as disrespectful to their industry.
Christiana Awuni who looks pissed by the comment has said in an interview with Accra FM that the Ghana Actors Guild executive should come together and demand an apology from the Minister.
According to her, failure for them to act appropriately might prompt her to stop acting because the sector is not an important and respected industry and she would further cease to be a member of the Ghana Actors Guild.
