Ghana’s celebrated rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie has revealed that he always get nervous when working with legendary gospel artiste.
This comes after the reigning artiste of the decade had worked with legendary gospel artiste, Yaw Sarpong.
Speaking in an interview with Joy Prime’s presenter Ibrahim Ben-Bako, the ‘Adonai’ hitmaker explained why he always get tensed working the gospel singer, Yaw Sarpong.
“Because this is Yaw Sarpong! The type of songs that he has done, I don’t want to mess up that legacy, I want him to keep that,” Sarkodie explained.
Somewhere last year, the veteran gospel musician in an interview with Showbiz hinted of a collaboration with the boss of SarkCess Music.
The “Wo haw ne sen” hitmaker disclosed that he listens to Sarkodie’s music a lot and had been looking forward to a collaboration with the ‘Mary’ singer.
Sarkodie further stated that although he was excited in the beginning to work with the gospel artiste, he did not jump into the collaboration from the get-go.
“I wanted to hear the song and when I heard it I understood why he wanted to put me on it,” he said.
Sarkodie in the interview said that not only did the song have traces of Yaw Sarpong over it but “you still find the new generation in there.”
However, the two artistes are yet to disclose when the song they are working on would be released.
