Versatile Ghanaian crooner Kelvyn Boy has thrown shade at his former boss and idol Stonebwoy in his latest song dubbed ‘New Year’.
Kelvyn Boy in his song talks about the issues he faced in 2019 which included his dramatic exit from Stonebowy’s record label, Burniton Music Group.
The ‘Mea’ crooner also talked about his plans or new resolutions but he subtly jabbed Stonebwoy in the intro of his ‘New Year’ song.
Kelvyn Boy asserted that he plans to make it on his own this year so that no one calls him ungrateful.
“This Year I want make on my own,I no want hear say somebody be ungrateful,” Kelvyn Boy said in his song.
It could be recalled in August 2019 that Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group officially announced that the contract between the record label and afrobeat sensation Kelvyn Boy had ended.
Prior to the announcement, there were several reports that Stonebwoy was in a bad relationship with Kelvyn Boy after it was alleged that the singer was being ungrateful.
The ‘Kpokeke’ hitmaker in an interview on Hitz FM last year also confirmed the reports of Kelvyn Boy being ungrateful as he talked about the issue of upcoming artistes being ungrateful to fellow artistes who helped them.
