Ghanaian Highlife musician Qwaachi has disclosed he almost shunned his music career to pursue other interests somewhere in 2006.
According to Qwaachi, life became unbearable for him after he departed from Obour’s Family Tree Entertainment, he considered quitting music to.venture into other business.
Interacting with Jay Foley on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz show on Tuesday, he said, “I remember around 2006 when I had wanted to give up. It got to a time after I left Family Tree Entertainment life became hard so so so [sic] hard that I don’t know what to do.”
“I remember then when I met D’Keebee the sound engineer. He used to a good brother. We used to talk all the time. He was like why you stop music and I was like boss I wanted to stop”
He added, David Kwamena Bolton encouraged him to continue recording and promote his songs on his own.
“I told him (D’KayBee) I wanted to quit music and he was like this is what a manager does, this is what a producer does….going to the studio recording yourself trying to promote it. Getting the things done. Doing photoshoot, cover arts. This is they do so you can also Starr something. He gave me hope and I picked my pieces up and I am where I am today” he said.
Qwaachi noted that at Family Tree Entertainment he learnt a lot and that has helped him greatly.
He said, he’s a focused person and know exactly what he wants in music.
Qwaachi is currently on a media tour promoting his single ‘Deepest Regret’.FOLLOW BROWNGH.COM ON SOCIAL MEDIA👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿
