Kim Kardashian’s $52 million LA home is entangled in a new lawsuit, with claims the celebrity is planning to build an “underground vault”.
TMZ obtained legal documents from Kim’s neighbour, Sarah Key, who has claimed Kim is building an underground vault, subterranean parking, an attached subterranean wellness centre, and a detached guardhouse.
Key is reportedly filing for a restraining order against the Hidden Hills Community, to block Kim’s plans.
Yet, sources close to Kim have told TMZ the star has no plans to build a vault. While she is building something on her property, Kim is reportedly going through the necessary channels to have her plans accepted.
Neighbour Sarah Key is most concerned over two high-pressure gas transmission lines that run through the community.
According to the legal documents, Key is worried Kim’s construction plans would put “Hidden Hills community members at risk of catastrophic bodily injury and irreparable real personal property damage.”
In March, it was reported that Kim had won the first of many battles in her divorce settlement with estranged husband Kanye West, which granted her the $52 million home in the affluent LA suburb.
At the time, a source told US Weekly that Kim was “always going to get” the million-dollar mansion.
“She has made her life there and it’s her kids’ main home. There was never a question — Kim was going to keep the home,” the source said.
The couple purchased the home back in 2014 and gave it a $26 million (US$20 million) overhaul, entirely overseen and designed by Kanye.
While Kanye might’ve been the brain behind the house’s design, Kim is the official landowner of the property which gave her the upper hand in ownership settlements.
