Man United 'Warn' Pogba They Won't Break the Bank To Keep Him At Old Trafford

Manchester United have reportedly warned midfielder Paul Pogba that they won’t break their wage structure to keep him at the club.

Paul Pogba has been linked with the exit at Old Trafford and it got more intense when the Frenchman recently admitted in an interview that it is his dream to play for Real Madrid.

Amid the transfer rumours surrounding Pogba, Manchester United decided to extend a one-year extension on his contract last Friday.

A report by ESPN indicates that Manchester United would not open to giving him a reasonable upgrade on his £290,000 Pounds a week deal to keep him at the club for several years.

According to the report, the Red Devils Chief Executive Ed Woodward is desperate to avoid another Alexis Sanchez-style deal after the club struggled to offload the Chilean and his whooping £ 560,000 a week contract before they finally agreed to hand him a £ 9 million payoff as part of his move to Inter Milan.

Manchester United, however, plan to increase Pogba’s wage but will not fight for him to stay at the club if he demands hefty contract.
