Renowned Ghanaian playwright, Author and motivational speaker James Ebo Whyte who is better known as Uncle Ebo Whyte has opined that many marriages wouldn’t have come into existence if not the pressure from women.
According to Uncle Ebo Whyte, pressure from women on their partners subtly forced them to tie the knot with them.
The respectable motivational speaker indicated that the pressure from women on their partners for marriage is usually fierce.
Uncle Ebo Whyte further opined that men would have been okay dating for the rest of their lives because they don’t have a biological clock.
“A lot of weddings wouldn’t have happened if the woman didn’t put pressure. If a man puts pressure, he has a reason; he fears losing the girl.
“But quite often, men would be okay with just dating for the rest of their lives because we don’t have a biological clock. So, there is no pressure on men,” Uncle Ebo Whyte disclosed in a recent interview monitored by browngh.com.
He attributed the pressure put on women by Ghanaian society as he claimed that people don’t put pressure on men to marry than they pressurize women to marry.
“Society never pushes pressure on us (men). Ask your young men here, maybe every now and then, their mother would call them, but generally, nobody puts pressure on them. But let a girl turn 25, 26, 28 … even in the church, there is pressure. Our society, I am talking about the Ghanaian society, puts pressure,” he added.
Uncle Ebo Whyte has produced several plays such as ‘Men run Women Cry’, ‘Dear God Comma’, ‘I Want Your Wife’, ‘God You’re Fired”“.
