The Media Only Promote Female Artistes Who Expose Their Body-S3fa (Video)

There have been discussions for the past few days over the media being bias as they pay much attention to male artistes than female artistes.

The ‘debate’ started when Dancehall diva AK Songstress implied that female artistes and male artistes should be treated equally as much attention is centred on the male musicians.

The issue garnered massive talking points as the majority of Industry players rubbished the notion that the media is bias towards Ghanaian female artistes.

Speaking on the above-mentioned issue, S3fa who is a signed artist on D Back’s Black Avenue Muzik (BAM) pointed out that the media only promote or pay attention to female artistes who expose their body or are controversial.

According to the ‘Shuga’ hitmaker, the media do not pay attention to female talented artistes who are not controversial or do not expose their body as other popular female artists do.

Speaking in an interview on TV3’s ‘Simply Showbiz’,S3fa asserted :

“There are lots of female artistes that really sing. A lot of amazing musicians. Efya sings but then you won’t see Efya in the blogs because she is not grinding somebody on stage or because she is not exposing too much. Ebony was one of the top artistes because you guys(the media) put her there. When Ebony was alive most of the news you heard about her was controversies and is not every female artist/musician that would want to go that line.”

Popular Entertainment pundit, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo who was also present on the show disagreed with S3fa’s aforementioned assertion and cited Adina and Cina Soul as some of the female artists who are not controversial or expose their body but are making it in the Ghana music fraternity.
