Rapper Medikal has revealed why he defended President Nana Akufo-Addo after some celebrities called him out for not speaking on the ongoing #EndSARS protest in Nigeria.
Yvonne Nelson,Sandra Ankobiah, Lydia Forson,Nana Aba Anamoah and other Ghanaian celebrities mounted pressure on Nana Akufo-Addo over his silence on #EndSARS brutality.
However, Medikal jumped to the defence of Akufo-Addo as he replied Yvonne Nelson’s tweet stating that “don’t blame Buhari’s incompetence on Nana Addo”.
Medikal in a live Instagram session with his followers and fans revealed why he defended Nana Akufo-Addo when some celebrities attacked him over his silence on the #EndSARS brutality.
According to him, he was hurt by Yvonne Nelson’s tweet which made him respond.
” don’t wake and come talk your mind because you think you be celebrity, you reach, you get platform, so you for use the platform against somebody’s father because if the President was to be your father, I am not sure you’ll wake up to tweet something to bash the President”. Medikal said.
” yesterday I see some tweet from Yvonne Nelson and some other celebrities and I was so hurt because indirectly you dey try talk say wanna President be at fault for what dey go and he for do something”.
“the country where the thing happened, even their own President didn’t come to say anything”. Medikal added.
