Most Ghanaian musicians lack creativity – Kofi Kinaata

Award-winning Ghanaian rapper and singer Martin King Arthur who performs under the stage name Kofi Kinaata believes most of Ghanaian musicians are not creative.

According to him, most of the songs produced by musicians in the country sound the same because there is no creativity.

He said if he were a listener he would be tired of listening to songs sounding the same.

Speaking to Showbiz in an interview, Kofi Kinaata said, “If I were a listener, I would probably have been tired of listening to songs sounding the same, and this is because most musicians are not creative.”

The ‘Adam & Eve` crooner also noted that lack of investors in the Ghanaian music industry is killing the talent of promising artistes.

He indicated that the budding musicians lack funds to promote their music and they end up fading away.

In his view, in the 21st century world it takes a lot of money to promote talents, especially when one has to promote his music both online and offline.

Kinaata added “Now it’s about having money to promote your songs and hyping it on social media while the real talents get nowhere because of lack of funds to push their songs,”
