Growing up in Ghana in the early 2000s songs like Odo Fila, Esisi Woso, Sika and Wa Rushi was the definition of music. Everyone would want to listen to them. The composer of those songs Dorcas Opoku Darkwa who goes by the moniker Abrewa Nana hasn’t been active in the music industry for years now.
Making appearance on The Gist with MzGee, the veteran singer stated that despite her absence in the music scene she is not quitting music any time soon.
She mentioned that music is part of her and there’s no way she will stop doing it.
According to her, she returned to music after a long break to please her fans.
”I’m still doing music. Music is part of me, I can’t runaway from it.” she said
Abrewa Nana added” I’ve been away for a while but the fans keep pushing me and they make me feel like they need that authentic voice tone and content so I just decided to come out to please my fans.”
The veteran Ghanaian musician intimated that she has recently recruited Fante singer Stephen Kwabena Siaw popularly known as Ayesem for her new single.
