Police are investigating the strange circumstances which saw a mum-of-four was tragically found dead by her young son under a car in their driveway.

The single mother was reportedly leaving for work at 7.30am on Thursday morning when one of her children found her underneath the car and called the emergency services.

Police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area as they launched an investigation into the tragedy.

It was announced a little before 1pm on Thursday that detectives had determined the death was non-suspicious, Mail Online reported.

Loved ones gathered at the scene shortly after the terrible incident and were seen hugging each other as the tried came to terms with what had happened.

“We’re all going to miss her.”

The mother is believed to have emigrated from Vietnam a number of years ago.

Her heartbroken niece said the woman’s daughter is currently stuck in Melbourne more than 700km away and fears that she will not be able to attend her mother’s funeral.

“I don’t know what’s happened, there’s three kids in there,” a family friend told the advertiser.

Another person at the scene said: “We’re very worried about her children now and so very sorry for them.”

A woman who works at a grocer across the street from the home said the mother was a regular at the shop.

“It’s very sad, I didn’t know her too well but she would come in and grab things here pretty often,” she said.
