Nana Boroo is my fierce competitor – Kuami Eugene

Lynx Entertainment recording artist Eugene Marfo popularly known as Kuami Eugene believes Nana Boroo is his biggest Highlife competitor.

In a response to a question asked by a fan on Kumasi based YFM’s RyseNShyne hosted by NY DJ, the reigning Highlife artist of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) sarcastically referred to Nana Boroo as perhaps his biggest competitor.

He said there are many Highlife artists doing so well in the music industry, but Nana Boroo could give him a good chase for the ‘crown’.

In his own words, “Right now with regards to highlife, maybe Nana Boroo.. (giggles). I think Nana Boroo because he’s been off for a while and came back with a banger…”

Nana Boroo after he rose to fame in the early 2000s went on a hiatus and resurfaced with a new single dubbed ‘Fine Boy’.

The highlife gem throws listeners back to the Gold Coast era where boogieing to the genre which originated from West Africa.
