Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, better known as Medikal, will no longer be doing free collaborations, if his recent post is anything to write home about.
Medikal is arguably one of the hottest and most wanted musicians in Ghana now and almost every feature he has done has become a street anthem.
The AMG Business recording artist has divulged that he has not charged a penny for most of the songs he has featured in this year, according to him, he was doing free collaborations so he make friends in the industry but henceforth anyone planning to put him on a song would have to pay.
In a post on his official Snapchat handle sighted by BrownGh.Com, the “Omo Ada” hitmaker stated emphatically that doing free featuring to make friends in the industry is over.
However, he indicated that he will charge before he jumps on any song.
Medikal for some weeks now has been lecturing about branding and the need to have s strong brand on his various social media handles.
He has stated that no one should joke with his/her image because Kweku Ananse, a trickster in stories who appears as a wise man and outsmarts every character in a play is the antiquated version of American Spider-Man, a fictional superhero created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditk.
The West African Kweku Ananse and American Spiderman are both Spidermen. However, American Spiderman is worldly known and makes more money because of branding.
