Deputy Minister for Education, Yaw Osei Adutwum has disbanded reports on social media suggesting dates being set for schools reopening in the country.

According to him, the ministry will communicate any decision taken on the reopening date to the entire country.

He added that Ghanaians should debunk reports on social media suggesting that schools which were closed down in March as part of the measures taken by government to avoid the spread of Coronavirus in the country will resume in September.

“Whatever you see on social media, don’t trust it”, he said.

Speaking on JoyNews programme, ‘Beyond the Lockdown’, the Deputy Minister urged students to take part E-learning provided by schools and government.

According to him, how to defeat the deadly coronvirus is important at the moment and things will bounce back normal when it is done.
