Ask any Ghanaian on the street to name one wack musician in the country who should quit music and pursue other interests and Agona Swedru,-based musician Patapaa Amisty who rose to fame with his smash hit song “One Corner” will be the one many would mention because he has always being described as a “noise maker”.

But Ghanaian rapper and singer Martin King Arthur who performs under the stage name Kofi Kinaata has trashed such harsh criticisms.

Kofi Kinaata believes that Patapaa is talented and it is about time Ghanaians should rally behind him.

Speaking to Showbiz in an interview, Kinaata said, “I hate it when Ghanaians go hard on Patapaa because every musician is unique in his own way. If Ghanaians could enjoy a song like Man’s Not Hot by Michael Dapaah (BIG SHAQ) who didn’t really say anything in the song, then I don’t see why they should find fault with Patapaa,”

In his view, the fact that Patapaa releases songs and get the whole nation talking and people dancing on their feet is a plus and deserve to be celebrated because it is not easy for a musician to make a hit song.

The “Move” crooner went on to state that Patapaa has also featured on other songs like ‘That Thing’ with Article Wan, ‘Akwaaba’ with Mr Eazi, Guilty Beatz and Pappy Kojo and ‘Daavi’ with Kawoula Biov which all became hits, therefore he should be praised for his efforts.

Kinaata indicated that although Patapaa was being insulted for doing ‘noisy’ songs, music is paying off for him.

He urged Ghanaians to support him, noting that“I hear he built a four-bedroom house with the money from One Corner and this is a guy who always rocks the stage. The earlier, we support him the better,”
