Gospel crooner Patience Nyarko has finally revealed why she walked out of an interview when the host quizzed if Joe Mettle’s ‘Boo No Ni’ song was a Methodist or Pentecostal song.
The ‘Obi Nyani Me’ hitmaker sparked controversy after she proclaimed in an interview on Accra based Onua FM that colleague gospel crooner Joe Mettle is overrated adding that most of his songs are not written by himself because he sings Methodist and Pentecost songs/hymns.
Patience Nyarko incurred the wrath of many Ghanaian music enthusiasts as well as some industry players for making such a ‘loose’ statement against a fellow gospel singer.
In a recent interview Patience Nyarko when questioned if Joe Mettle’s hit song ‘boo no ni’ was a methodist or Pentecost song, got infuriated and walked out of the interview.
Explaining the reason for her action in an interview on Okay FM, Patience Nyarko revealed that the journalist interviewing her was ‘unprofessional’ as she was taking sides which provoked her to walk out of the interview.
“She was provoking me. She was also on Joe Mettle’s side. Because, why would you ask me to sing a song belonging to another artiste?. She was forcing me and the video has even been edited. I walked out of the interview because I didn’t want to show the wrath of my anger during the interaction” She disclosed.
Patience Nyarko indicated that ‘Joy news’ or multimedia are yet to tender an apology to her over the recent interview with the media house which triggered her to walk out of the interview.
“Nobody has reached out to me from Multimedia to render an apology to me” She added.
