Harry and Meghan who is the Duchess of Sussex have made a shocking revelation in an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey, their first of it since they stepped away from official royal duties last year.
The duo revealed that they would have stayed if they had gotten support from their family.
While they discussed harsh word treatment in the press, the most worrisome part of the interview was how they were treated by members of the royal family.
Harry stated that he had a good relationship with the Queen but said he was disappointed by his father and that, while he loves his brother William ” to bits,” they are on different paths”.
Meghan said that ” in the months when I was pregnant… we have in foursome the conversation of he won’t be given security, the child is not going to be given a title, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin tone might be when he’s born”, a conversation Harry said he never wanted to discuss.
The duo focused on the family’s refusal to provide security for them, a disturbing grave concern for Harry given his mother’s death. He said the experience with his wife showed him how hard it must have been for his mother.
Climaxing moments of their groundbreaking interview, Harry and Meghan discussed their regrets with the veteran TV host, however, the pair said they remained grateful that they made it “out to the other side”.
Meghan added that her regret was believing that the royal family would protect her, a thought she said would have made all the difference,…” we wouldn’t have left if they had protected us” Harry chipped in
However, Harry stated that his relationship with Meghan saved him while Meghan disagreed, instead saying that Harry’s decision saved their entire family.
“We did what we had to do,” Harry said.
