A relative to former Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe has made revelation about the circumstances surrounding the death of the nonagenarian.
According to the relative, Mugabe died on Friday at Gleneagles Hospital surrounded by his family members whiles he took his last breathe.
Mugabe’s nephew identified as Adam Molai told reporters that his uncle preferred to be treated in Singapore.
He revealed that the former Zimbabwe President was admitted at Gleneagles Hospital a week before his demise.
Adams indicated that Mugabe died of afflictions related to old age.
Adam Molai disclosed that the former leader “was surrounded by family” when he passed away and that he died “very peacefully”.
According to him, the elderly controversial statesman only took time talking much about his family, with little about his 37 years rule in Zimbabwe.
Mugabe also “spoke about how he loves his family” in his final days, Molai added.
