The legal battle between Cristiano Ronaldo and a woman who accused the football star of raping her in Las Vegas over 10 years ago is heading to trial in Nevada, USA, before a federal judge.

U.S. District Judge Jennifer Dorsey has said that she will listen to arguments and decide for herself if Kathryn Mayorga, the alleged victim, was fit to enter the $375,000 hush-money agreement the footballer’s representatives paid to her in 2010.

Peter Christiansen, Ronaldo’s lawyer, did not comment on Tuesday.

Mayorga claims she met him at a nightclub in 2009, where she went with him and some other people to his hotel suite where, according to her lawsuit, he assaulted her in his bedroom. She was 25 at the time and he was 24.
The footballer maintains that the sex was consensual.
