Prior to the 2020 General Elections, Sarkodie released a song dubbed ‘Happy Day’ which featured Lynx Entertainment signee Kuami Eugene.

There were claims by the majority of Ghanaians the song was recorded to endorse the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP).
