GHOne TV presenter Serwaa Amihere has allegedly demanded a public apology from CEO of Consumer Rights Protection Agency, Mr Kofi Kapito for his comment on her backside at the just held Radio and Television Awards 2019(RTP).
According to a report by peaceonline.com, Mr Kapito went to the office premises of GHOne TV to apologize to Serwaa Amihere privately for his comments.
Serwaa Amihere, however, demanded a public apology from the CEO of Consumer Rights Protection Agency if it’s done publicly.
Mr Kapito’s supposed apology comes just after the GHOne TV newscaster expressed her disgust at the statement made by Consumer Rights Protection Agency via her twitter handle.
Serwaa who won the Best female Television Newscaster of the Year at the just held RTP Awards detailed that Mr Kofi Kapito passed by her office on Monday morning to apologize to her personally for his ‘disrespectful’ comment he made about her in public.
She indicated that she appreciates his effort to take time off his busy schedule to drive all the way to her office to render an unqualified apology but will appreciate it if it’s done in public because Mr Kofi Kapito made the comment in public.
She, however, said that Kofi Kapito walked off and has blatantly refused to render a public apology.
Kofi Capito confirmed in an interview with Abeiku Santana that he indeed went to Serwaa’s office inside GhOne TV on Monday to genuinely apologize to her and make amends but she insisted on a public apology.
“….I went ahead to complain to a management member of GH One Television who is Serwaa’s boss about her cold reception and the management member told me to forget about Serwaa if she is not satisfied with the personal apology….So that was why I left Serwaa’s office on Monday,” the Consumer Rights Protection CEO stated.
