The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has granted bail to the two fiercely-contested dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale after they were detained since Sunday due to their clash at the just held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA).
This was made known via an official statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Efia Tenge, Head of Public Affairs Unit of the Greater Accra Regional Police Command.
The statement stipulated that the arrest of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale was as a result of their misconduct at the just ended VGMA on Saturday 18th May 2018.
According to her, another arrest was made giving the name of the person as Nii Amo who is suspected to have sprayed pepper spray at the auditorium when the commotion occurred.
She indicated that they will be arranged before court very soon and that the organizers of VGMA, Charterhouse are cooperating with the Police in order for justice to prevail.
She assured the public that the law will work in this incident and that they will be handled by the rightful law processes.
In a video sighted by BrownGH.com,Shatta Wale was seen exiting the police headquarters and was been walked by the police, his father and his former manager Bulldog.
Stonebwoy in a video was seen exiting the Police headquarters and was hailed by fans around.
The Bhim President on Sunday released an apology for pulling a gun on stage and involving himself in the unfortunate brawl.
According to him, his actions were fueled by constant threats he had on social media from his arch-rival’s camp prior to the event.
