Minister for Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has said that parents should help their wards to study at home as a result of the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic.

He indicated that the pandemic has affected the educational system of the whole world and he’s urging parents to guide their wards to learn as they continue to stay at home.
“Following school closures and various restrictions in the country to curtail the spread of the virus, my team and I empathize with how overwhelming it may be for you at home and I believe you have a deeper sense of appreciation of the enormous task that rests with schools and teachers,” he said.
He added that, “As we navigate through these challenging times, I am reminded of how fortunate we are to be part of this strong community that supports each other to accomplish great things. It is the power of this community that will propel us through this to better times”.
President Akufo-Addo during his last address to the nation extended the ban on public gathering by two more weeks. This indicates that funerals,church services weddings and among others are not to be held.
