The Susan Clinic, located at Laterbiokorshie in Accra has been shut following a baby-selling scandal.
From what we gathered, the health facility looked deserted with no human activity as of 10:00 am on Thursday.
Reports indicate that the main entrance of the clinic was opened but the door leading to the reception was locked.
It could be recalled that Dr. Quahie and other doctors, as well as nurses of the clinic, were arrested over their involvement in the selling of babies at some hospitals in the country.
They were arrested following an investigation by the Economic and Organised Crime Office(EOCO) and the Medical and Dental Council.
Two medical doctors,2 social workers,4 nurses,2 mothers, and one traditional birth attendant were arrested and are on bail pending further investigations.
The investigation by EOCO uncovered baby harvesting syndicates at the Susan Clinic, Ridge Hospital, and Tema General Hospital with some of the babies sold for GHS 30,000 and GHS 28,000.
The Susan Clinic offers services in laboratory assistance, family planning, antenatal and postnatal care, general practices, and scans.
However, the clinic has reportedly been closed down following the arrest of its owner Dr.Quarshie.
