Hon Ernest Arhinful who is the Deputy Finance Minister has said that all those standing against the ¢100 cathedral donation are just bringing the curses of God upon themselves.

Hon Ernest Arhinful advised Ghanaians especially those who are not participating to stop bad-mouthing the donation because the wrath of God will easily rest on them.

While speaking in an interview monitored by browngh.com, Hon Arhinful stated categorically that God needs a place of worship hence the decision to build the cathedral so therefore, anyone who condemns the decision does that on his or her own risk.

He also made an emphasis to the bible that there more you give, the more you receive so everybody should donate.

However, those who don’t have enough should stop lamenting and complaining about the Cathedral in order not to receive curses upon themselves.

  1. Pls, this is a freewill donation. Read Exodus 35 especially verse 21. The deputy minister didn’t say those who did not have should stop lamenting. All he said was it wasn’t compulsory and so those who don’t feel like giving should not speak against those who are willing to contribute. Read Deuteronomy 29:5 and read about the blessings John Kumah talked about. By the way, those berating the govt and president, where were they when govt contributed to the building of the National Mosque. If we have nothing to say, we should just keep quiet about things we have little knowledge about.
