First Lady of RuffTown Records Wendy Addo who performs under the stage name Wendy Shay has finally responded to critics berating her over her net worth statement.
The beautiful singer responding to a question on her net worth in an interview with TV Africa said she needed google to find out her net worth because she had no idea.
She was asked “What have you gained musically for yourself…that you can say I got this camera or I got this carpet?”
In reply, the ‘Uber Driver’ crooner said “you mean the material stuff? I have got too many, I can now buy the latest iPhone in town, I have a lot of stuff. Camera, iPad, I mean everything that a lady at my age would want.”
Many netizens descended heavily on her for ‘not answering right’ and some even calling her names.
It would be recalled the ‘Bedroom Commando’ singer was at the receiving end of some heavy trolling some months ago following her answer to the question “Who are you as Wendy Shay?” in a conversation with Joy News’s MzGee
Responding to trollers, Wendy Shay said “I could now afford things in a minute but back then I was buying things on credit even though I was working in Germany,” but people misunderstood her because “it came out as if I was trying to mention material stuff,”
Wendy is a Nurse by profession. But was later trained as a Midwife on the clinical field.
She was practicing midwifery until she relocated to Ghana to pursue her music career. She was introduced to music by Rufftown Records Manager Bullet and signed in January 2018 after the untimely death of label mate Ebony Reigns. On 1 June 2018, Wendy Shay released her debut single “Uber Driver”, produced by MOG Beatz.The song was released together with the official video the same day.
