Rufftown Record label signed artist, Wendy Addo best identified as Wendy Shay has angrily stressed that she is taking Food And Drug Authority (FDA) and Ghana Gaming Commission to court.
Wendy Shay made this known via her twitter account after the Gaming Commission issued a statement banning celebrities from advertising betting companies.
The Press Statement of the Gaming Commission reads;
Operators shall not use celebrities in their advertisements to entice the general public to gamble,”.
To ensure the new guideline is followed all advertisements must be approved by the commission to help protect not only underage persons but “the interests of punters, customers, and stakeholders,”
Also, the Food And Drug Authority (FDA) also issued a statement and banned celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages.
Well, following these proceedings, the “Uber Driver” singer has called on all celebrities in Ghana to join hands together and fight against the system.
According to her, celebrities are also Ghanaians and deserve better.
