Ghanaian actress, Ama Abebrese has added her voice to the new wind blowing on social media with regards to the ban placed on celebrities by FDA and Gaming Commission.
Recall that browngh.com recently filed a report that the Food And Drug Authority (FDA) and Ghana Gaming Commission have banned Ghanaian celebrities from promoting alcoholic beverages and endorsing sports betting as brand ambassadors.
Since this new directives were initiated, Wendy Shay of Rufftown record label has been lamenting, calling on her fellow celebrities to join hands together and fight against the system.
Well, Ama K Abebrese has revealed on her Facebook account that while Nigerian celebrities are busily seeking for justice in their county, Ghanaian celebrities on the other hand are also fighting to be paid to promote alcohol and sport betting.
Could it be that Ama is implying that our celebrities are not serious?
In her words, she wrote:
“Nigerian youths are fighting to #EndSARS #EndSWAT & end #PoliceBrutality for their Human Rights.
In Ghana, some celebrities are fighting to be paid to promote alcohol and sports betting to youths as a ‘Human Rights’ issue.
Everyone has a right to protest what matters to them.”
