Twipop General, D Cryme has seconded to the suggestion to introduce Africa’s most decorated wordsmith Michael Owusu Addo who goes by the moniker Sarkodie as a subject and taught in schools in Ghana by record produce,r Da Hammer.
Da Hammer tasked the Ghana Education Service to introduce a new subject that will teach students about Sarkodie’s music, personality, and brand.
Commenting on the issue which has sparked debate, D Cryme said he wholly agrees with the legendary record producer.
Speaking with Amansan Krakye on Radio Central, he silenced critics of Da Hammer who have opposed the suggestion he made.
“Hammer is one of the astute and renowned people in our music industry and he’s entitled to share his opinion on Sarkodie,” he said
D Cryme, whose real name is Darlington Kwasi Agyekum added that in his candid opinion the BET Award winning rapper has been celebrated enough and would be best if the government take Hammer’s suggestion into consideration.
“Personally, I think we’re doing well, however, the accolades and our legendary status is sometimes not celebrated enough,”
The Tema-based rapper indicated that the achievements of Sarkodie in the showbiz fraternity, it’s a step in the right direction if he’s taught throughout Ghanaian schools.
“So if Hammer says Sarkodie should be honoured in one way or the other so as to recognize him for his successes chalked in the music industry, I think I totally agree with him 100%”.D Cryme observed
